Finally!! A New Floral Painting

My other floral paintings were such a success, there are no originals available. Now I have finally created a floral painting considered to be the best yet. Since the dark background seems smokey, my wife suggested a title "Beauty for Ashes," which comes from Isaiah 61:3, written to the exiled and persecuted Jewish nation. In times like these, it speaks of the Deliverer (the Messiah) who will console those who mourn, give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
